History
Woods has evolved from very humble beginnings when in 1929 Homer Woods, a Midwestern salesman, began selling extension cords out of the back of his truck. Along with his wife, he assembled cord sets and traveled to sell his wares. The business grew and Homer settled down in Indianapolis, where Woods expanded for many years. Later, Woods headquarters relocated to nearby Carmel, IN, and in 2006, completed a move to a new corporate headquarters back in Indianapolis.
